Lorne Lynn Armstrong was arrested on October 18, 2007, during the final To Catch a Predator sting in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The 37-year-old from Nashville spent over a month grooming what he believed was a 13-year-old girl named "Kayla," producing 407 pages of sexually explicit chat logs and exposing himself on webcam. Armstrong drove to meet the decoy carrying condoms and a bracelet, where he was confronted by Chris Hansen.
He pleaded guilty to federal charges of traveling interstate to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and received 60 months in federal prison plus lifetime supervised release. Since his release, Armstrong has repeatedly violated probation conditions, including multiple alcohol violations and failure to complete sex offender treatment, resulting in additional imprisonment.
He remains a registered sex offender under lifetime federal supervision.
